At 1-Off Auto Center, fixing vehicle’s is in our family’s blood, and it’s where we excel. In fact, our auto repair shop is the culmination of the work of generations of car people.
Owner Jason Bongiorno’s father introduced him to the world of working on cars at his upholstery shop in Englewood, Colorado. Having spent a lot of time around the shop, Jason watched as his father worked on everything from award-winning show cars to everyday commuters.
In 1993, the Bongiorno Family relocated and settled here in the Yampa Valley. Jason and his father picked up right where they left off on the front range, continuing to work on cars everyday.
When Jason graduated high school, his father continued to inspire his passion by giving him a 1933 Ford Model B.
From there Jason finished his fathers work on the classic truck by completing the restoration and thus sparking what would become his lifelong devotion to fixing vehicles. Jason then went to trade school and spent over a decade working on heavy equipment as well.
In 2009, Jason started his first business from the ground up. He opened 1-Off Performance, an auto shop that specializes in performance upgrades, cosmetic upgrades and diesel repair.
In 2022, Jason took another step forward by acquiring formerly Doc’s Auto Clinic from Brian Small.
With a promise to honor Doc’s legacy, Jason and his team have but one goal: to provide the very best auto repair in Steamboat Springs.
Taking yet another step forward, in March of 2024, Jason and the team decided to bring forth a new legacy by changing the name of the shop to 1-Off Auto Center!
A dedication to customer service coupled with over 40 years of combined experience is what sets us apart, and we take pride in our ability to go the extra mile for each and every customer!

In 2022, owner Jason Bongiorno moved his first business, 1-Off Performance with him after acquiring Doc’s Auto Clinic.
Now, as 1-Off Auto Center & 1-Off Performance, both companies operate out of the same building, giving you more options all in one location.
Do you want to add a lift-kit to your truck? No problem. How about an oil change and a cold air intake upgrade? We can do it all.
Since 2009, 1-Off Performance has made huge waves in the valley, giving you the ability to make your car or truck look great and operate at it’s peak performance.
1-Off Auto Center sets out to provide that same level of care to the rest of your vehicles needs, even if it’s as simple as an oil change.
